Certificate

Root Certificate used by the Trusted@work4homes project:

If your e-mail client does not recognise the format PKCS#7, you can test the following formats (Binary coded X.509 or Coded Base 64 X.509):

This certificate was generated during the meeting of the Trusted@work4homes consortium which was held in Frankfurt on July 1, 2005. Its period of validity is 10 years.

It was generated to meet the needs and requirements of the Trusted@work4homes project during a study of feasibility and market validation and to implement the process of sending e-mails protected by an automated digital signature which were sent by the members of the "Union sociale pour l'habitat" and its subsidiary companies.

You must install this certificate in your web browser (Microsoft based email systems) or where your email service suppler specifies, to take advantage of the validity check of the digital signature protecting email messages signed by the Union 'gateway' sending messages on behalf of the "Union sociale pour l'habitat".

Download this certificate from the Union website and double-click on the imported file to launch the business application of the certificates under Windows and then answer the questions of the installation Wizard. For other email systems please follow the instructions given by your supplier for importing root authority certificates.

Once installed, all the messages signed using this certificate will be validated automatically.

Presentation of the process of automated signature of e-mails by Antoine Ferré, DSI of the "Union sociale pour l'habitat", during the seminar in BRUSSELS (October 11, 2005):

**************************************************************************************************************

Warning:

The signature verification process is not, at this stage, intended to support any transaction for which there would be any form if financial liability. There is, for instance, no automated procedure for certificate revocation of either the root or the USH certificates.

In the event of any uncertainty on the origin or validity of a message signed using this certificate, the only method for verifying that the root certificate is still valid is to contact the Management of the Information systems of the "Union sociale pour l'habitat" to ask of the certificate is still valid. They will do their best to give a response as soon as possible.
